Ash line, in-line and water line are based on the reduced elements of line, curve and movement. The brush scratches the paper leaving a faint history of marks beneath the ash curve suggesting an archaeology of human presence. In - line explores the trace of movement through impression, skating over powdered pigment and ash on paper. Water line is an out door site specific work using water drawn from the moat at Herstmonceux Castle. Other works include temporary research pieces made in various locations in East Sussex
